From the farm
Our Mangalitsa pigs
Our Mangalitsa pigs are pasture / woodland raised on a regenerative farm. Foraging forms a substantial part of their lives, with GMO-free, soy-free supplementary feed during winter.
They take around 18 months to reach weight. Our pork comes from our own pigs and is prepared by two artisan / master butchers.

Ordering firewood in Crediton and Exeter
Our logs are barn stored and air dried. Each 1m³ load is measured using mosquito-netted dumpy bags.
Choose 10″ or 12″ logs; enquire for longer lengths. We recommend mixed loads, with softwood to start the fire and hardwood to follow. Hardwood-only loads are available.
Delivered loads cost £150 from September to February and £100 from March to August. Delivery is included across EX17, Exeter and surrounding areas. Stacking is £20.

Tell us what you’re making.
Send the species, number of pieces and the length, width and thickness of each. Let us know whether you need green or dried timber, and whether you require delivery.
If you’re unsure, include a photograph, sketch or description of the project. We stock timber in Devon, Wales and Scotland and can help source material through our wider network.

Milling the Scottish sequoia
Sixty-foot boards from an eight-foot-diameter sequoia log.
We undertake contract milling across the country. Tell us about your timber and what you want to produce, and we’ll discuss the equipment and approach required.
National Sawmills is also our business. That close relationship gives us access to a range of Peterson sawmills alongside our other milling equipment.

Operating a forestry machine is only part of the work. Understanding it takes time.
Our Valmet is part of that continuing experience: learning the machine, maintaining it and putting it to work in the woodland.
